How is the return organized?

About 4-6 weeks before your subscription expires, you will receive an email from us, which you can use to conveniently choose the return date and time yourself. A few days after your selection, an independent appraiser will confirm the appointment by SMS or phone call.

Alternative: When your vehicle is returned to our partner, it will be appraised within 5 business days.

When your vehicle is returned to our location, it will remain on-site after the report. If it is to be collected from your home, the vehicle will be picked up by one of our drivers immediately after the report.

How do you prepare your car for return?

Here is a checklist to prepare for the return:

✓ The car is completely cleaned inside and out

✓ All provided accessories remain in the car

✓ All personal items, stickers or adhesive films have been removed

✓ Original tires are on the car

✓ Service booklet remains in the car

✓ All vehicle keys are returned

✓ Vehicle registration remains with the car

✓ All previous damage has been reported to FINN

✓ The fuel level is the same as when you first received your car

A note in advance: You do not have to hand over your vehicle with a full tank. It is enough if the fuel level is the same as to when you received the car at the beginning of your subscription. You can find the original fuel level in your handover report, which you will receive by email.

Step 2: Have the vehicle checked by an independent expert

A neutral and independent expert examines the vehicle for damage in your presence and prepares an inspection. Depending on the condition of the vehicle, this takes about 30-60 minutes. If it is to be collected from your home, the vehicle will be picked up by one of our drivers immediately after the report. If you return it to one of our partner locations, the vehicle will then be taken over by our partner and the inspection would be done at our vehicle compound. A few days after your return, you will receive the return protocol by email with the valuation report of the independent expert, which documents all damage incurred.

What will I be billed at the end of the FINN car subscription?

When you return your vehicle, it will be properly checked for damage and signs of use. Signs of use, such as car wash marks, etc., occur during normal use of the vehicle and will not be billed to you. We only charge you for damage caused by improper use in the final invoice.

Note: You are required to immediately report accident damage. You are responsible for the amount of the deductible. If damage is not reported, you will be billed for the full amount of the damage to the vehicle.
